Effective date: January 12, 2024
These Terms of Use govern justiceheadquarters.org and its intake forms, chat, and browser-based voice features (the “Website”). The Website is operated by JusticeHeadquarters.org (“Justice Headquarters,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). Please read these Terms before using the Website. If you do not agree, do not use it.
Our service
Justice Headquarters provides general information and an intake and attorney-connection service for people seeking help with potential injury-related legal matters. We are not a law firm and do not provide legal advice, represent clients, file claims, or negotiate settlements. Our intake process helps collect information for a possible connection with a participating lawyer or law firm.
Participating lawyers exercise their own professional judgment. They decide whether to review or accept a matter and are responsible for any legal services they provide. You remain free to choose any lawyer, seek another opinion, or decline a proposed connection. We do not promise that a lawyer will contact you or accept your case.
No legal advice or attorney-client relationship
Website information, intake questions, automated responses, and general communications from Justice Headquarters are for informational and intake purposes. They are not a legal opinion about your situation or a substitute for advice from a licensed lawyer.
Using the Website, submitting information, receiving a response, or being connected with a lawyer does not, by itself, create an attorney-client relationship. A lawyer must separately agree to represent you. Confirm the representation and its scope directly with that lawyer before relying on the lawyer to act for you.
Do not assume information sent to Justice Headquarters is protected by attorney-client privilege. This statement does not eliminate any confidentiality obligations that a lawyer may owe a prospective client under applicable law.
AI chat and voice features
Samantha is an AI-powered intake assistant, not a human lawyer. Chat and browser-based voice responses may be generated automatically. AI can misunderstand you, omit important facts, produce incorrect or outdated information, and make transcription errors. A natural-sounding voice does not mean a person is speaking or reviewing the conversation in real time.
Samantha cannot accept a case, establish representation, determine your legal rights, or promise a result. Correct inaccurate intake details and verify important information with a licensed lawyer. Do not rely on an AI response to decide whether to file a claim, accept a settlement, or take another legal action.
See our Privacy Policy and any notice presented with the feature for information about voice processing, recording, and transcription. These Terms do not replace any separate notice or consent required for those activities. Browser microphone permission alone does not authorize unrelated uses of your information.
Deadlines and urgent situations
Legal claims can have strict filing, notice, and other deadlines. Different deadlines may apply to different claims, defendants, and circumstances. Contact a qualified lawyer promptly.
Submitting an inquiry does not file a claim, give legally required notice, stop a deadline, or preserve your rights. Justice Headquarters does not identify or monitor deadlines for you. Do not wait for a response from us before seeking help with an urgent legal matter.
The Website is not an emergency service. For an immediate medical or safety emergency, call 911 or the appropriate local emergency service.
No guaranteed results or case value
Every matter is different. Descriptions of claims, examples, past outcomes, testimonials, or possible compensation do not establish that you have a valid claim or predict your outcome. An intake result is preliminary and does not confirm eligibility, liability, damages, insurance coverage, or an entitlement to compensation. Only an appropriate review of the facts and applicable law can inform legal advice about your matter.
Attorney fees and expenses
“No Obligation” means requesting information through the Website does not require you to hire a lawyer.
“No Fee Unless You Win” refers to contingency-based attorney fees when offered by a participating lawyer and agreed to in writing. It is not a guarantee of recovery or a statement that every expense is waived. Attorney fees, litigation costs, and other expenses are different. Depending on the lawyer's written agreement and applicable law, expenses may be deducted from a recovery or remain your responsibility even without a recovery.
Before hiring a lawyer, review the written fee agreement and ask about how fees are calculated, who pays costs, and what happens if there is no recovery or the representation ends. That agreement and applicable law govern your financial obligations. These Terms are not a fee agreement with a lawyer.
Who may submit information
The intake features are intended for adults age 18 or older. If you submit information for another person, you must have lawful authority to do so. Provide accurate information to the best of your knowledge and let us know if important details change.
Provide only information reasonably needed for your inquiry. Do not send passwords, Social Security numbers, financial account credentials, or complete medical records through general Website forms or chat. Ask about an appropriate method before providing sensitive documents. Keep your own copies of anything you submit.
Privacy and communications
Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle information collected through the Website. It should be read together with any disclosure shown when information is collected or shared.
When you request a response or attorney connection, communications will be subject to the contact choices and disclosures presented to you. Visiting the Website alone does not provide consent to marketing calls or texts. Any required consent for automated, prerecorded, artificial-voice, or marketing communications must be obtained through the applicable separate process. Contact us using the details below to ask about your communication choices.
Submitting information does not give us an unrestricted right to publish it, use it for advertising, or authorize uses inconsistent with the Privacy Policy and applicable law.
Acceptable use and Website content
You may use the Website lawfully for your personal information and legitimate inquiries. Do not impersonate another person, submit fraudulent information, harass others, upload malicious code, attempt unauthorized access, interfere with Website operation, or collect other users' personal information without authorization. Do not use automated tools in ways that compromise security or disrupt service.
Website text, branding, designs, and other materials belong to their respective owners or us. You may view and retain copies for personal, noncommercial reference, subject to applicable law. Other copying, distribution, or commercial use requires permission unless the law allows it. You retain your rights in information and materials you provide.
Third party services and availability
The Website may link to or use services operated by third parties. Their separate terms and privacy notices may apply to your use of their services. A link is not a guarantee of the third party's accuracy, availability, security, or services.
We may maintain, change, or discontinue Website features and restrict access when reasonably necessary for security, legal compliance, or a violation of these Terms. Service interruptions and transmission failures can occur. Do not rely on the Website as your only way to contact a lawyer or preserve important information.
Disclaimers and legal rights
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the Website is provided “as is” and “as available,” without a promise that it will be error-free or continuously available. We do not guarantee the accuracy or completeness of general information or AI-generated content.
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, excuses fraud or willful misconduct, or waives mandatory consumer protections. These Terms do not limit a lawyer's professional duties or your rights concerning that lawyer's services.
Changes and contact
We may update these Terms by posting a revised version and effective date. Material changes will receive any additional notice or agreement required by law. Changes do not retroactively create consent to new uses of personal information or waive rights concerning earlier events.
If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent permitted by law. These Terms do not impose mandatory arbitration or waive class-action rights.
